“Great G-Minor” Symphony

This Mozart symphony is one of the composer's best-known works and was written in the summer of 1788. It was performed during Mozart’s lifetime at the house of the diplomat and musical patron Gottfried Freiherr van Swieten. Mozart wrote a second version afterwards, adding a clarinet.
